Gwen Aube is a working class writer living in Montreal, Quebec. Her debut poetry collection, Missed Connections with Tall Girls (2026), was published by LittlePuss Press.

She is currently a finalist for the 2026 Writer's Trust of Canada Dayne Ogilvie Prize, was a 2026 Al Purdy A-Frame Artist-In-Residence & 2025 Artist-in-Residence with the Ontario Heritage Council. She was a finalist for the 2025 PEN Canada New Voices Award, as well as a Kevin Killian Scholarship recipient for the Jack Kerouac School. Her chapbook pulp necrosis was published by above/ground press.

Her work appears in The New Orleans Review, The Gay & Lesbian Review, Maisonneuve Magazine, Expat Press, and Contemporary Verse 2. She has performed at Poet's House NYC, Vancouver Writer's Fest, and punk houses across North America. Aube is an editor-at-large with Discordia Review Press and co-editor of Maybe Mag.

Originally, she is from Windsor, Ontario, where she did lots of graffiti, read poetry at community centres, and studied outsider freak poetics with her trans mom Sybil Lamb. Aube spent a decade non-fraudulently collecting Ontario Works welfare and is grateful for their support of the arts.
